Hi everyone!!! so finally I am bringing you all a small party makeup video and I am quite excited for this one. This makeup video is in collaboration with a Delhi and Lucknow based makeup artist- Ishita Sood.Since the wedding season has started and everyone wants to look her best. So we guys did a small party makeup video and hope this could help you all in any way.

Everyone has their own perception regarding makeup some like to wear it and some do not. But it will be wrong to say that people who wear makeup are fake and they do it to hide their flaws. Everyone loves themselves as they are and if they don’t then they should. Earlier I never used to wear makeup but I feel that makeup makes me more confident so I love wearing it. I feel that makeup enhances your personality and make you look more presentable. Everyone do not have same kind of skin it is their very own choice that how they chose to tackle with their skin issues- with or without makeup. But if you are like wearing makeup then make sure you don’t make it look unnatural. Doing makeup correctly is the first thing that everyone needs to know.

FIRST STEP- Moisturize and Prime

We used MAC fix plus 'prep+prime' spray. This works excellent for hydration and priming the skin. Besides this much known fact that primer only helps your makeup to stay on for long there are many other unknown facts that why it is essential to put on primer before you put on rest of your makeup. It helps in reducing redness of your skin (if you have such problem with your skin) and it also helps in concealing spots on your skin to some extent. It even smoothens, softens and makes your skin feel makeup ready. Primer also avoids direct contact of your skin with makeup, so protects it from acne and germ build up.

It is not necessary to make primer part of your every day makeup but yes when you want your makeup to last all day then you should definitely go for primer first.

 SECOND STEP- Eye Makeup

We finish the eye makeup first so that any shadow fallout does not mix with our foundation. For the eye makeup, create eye contours and crease using a matte brown eye shadow. Here we used MAC eye shadow in the shade embark.

Take a soft lid color like gold and finally a darker color like black or dark brown on the outer v of the eye to give definition and shape. Choose colors for your eye makeup according to your outfit color.

Next fill kohl in the water line

Tip: use kohl only on ¾ th waterline to make eye appear bigger and more open.

THIRD STEP: eyebrow shape and fill.

   

Highlight the brow bone using any highlighter. Here we used MAC soft and gentle. Eyebrow filling is one of the most important parts of your makeup for everyday. I used to hear a lot that girls “keep your brows on point” always but never knew why it is so. Then I consulted Ishita and she made me understand that how an eyebrow helps in structuring your face. I seriously feel the drastic changes whenever I get my eyebrows filled and shaped. I have never got my eyebrows threaded so it is always important for me to get my eyebrows on point before I step out from my home.

You need to keep few things in mind when you are doing your brow.

FOURTH STEP: Put on false lashes

It is not that easy to put on a fake eyelash you need to practise it beforehand.

Take an eyelash, measure it with your original eye lid length and the cut to fit. Further apply eyelash glue on the eye lash band and then very carefully put it on. You can use your hands and tweezers as well but be very careful while using tweezers. Wait till the adhesive dries and by the time you can get your base done.

NOTE:

As I am wearing fake lashes so we will apply eye liner when the adhesive dries.

If you don’t want to wear fake lashes you can use mascara to enhance your eye lashes but don’t forget to curl your lashes using an eye lash curler. After you curl them you can put on mascara and then eyeliner and you are done with your eye makeup.

FIFTH STEP: Foundation, Contouring and Highlighting

Mix your foundation with a pea size amount of moisturiser and apply with a flat brush. This brush helps in giving full coverage and moisturizer mixing helps to avoid cakiness in the makeup. We used MAC studio fix foundation in the shade nc44. Contour and highlight you features accordingly. We used a lighter and darker shade of dermacolor concealers from krylon.

Foundation is not to make you look fairer then your natural tone so always make sure you choose a foundation shade closer to you natural skin tone. Foundation is used to make your skin look flawless and to give an even tone to your skin. So please make sure you don’t pick up a shade which doesn’t matches your skin tone it looks totally unnatural and pathetic. So please make sure you are wearing a correct shade of foundation.

For highlighting: It is done to brighten and lighten up the center of your face so for this purpose we use a foundation of lighter shade. Places to apply: under the eyes, bridge of the nose , forehead and chin. Blend it using a sponge or buffing brush.

For contouring: It is done for sculpting your face so for this purpose we use a foundation of darker shade. Places to apply: temples, forehead, jaw line, sides of the nose and under the cheekbones. Blend it using sponge or buffing brush.

LAST STEP: Apply blush, Highlighter and Lipstick.

For blush we have used MAC mineralize finish blush. Put on highlighter and then apply lipstick as done in video.

You can use a Makeup fixing spray when you are done with your makeup as it gives a glowy effect to skin and reduces any powdery feel to skin texture.

BRUSHES USED: She has used Real techniques core collection set.

1. Vega flat foundation brush: for application of foundation, highlighting and contouring.

2. BUFFING BRUSH: used for blending foundation, highlighting and contouring lines.

3. Round small brush for blending eye shadow.

4. Small brush for eyebrow filling

5. Tapered round brush for blush application

6. Pointed brush for concealing

7. Vega eye liner brush and sigma flat kabuki contouring brush for application of highlighter.
