Hi everyone!!! so finally I am bringing you all a small party makeup video and I am quite excited for this one. This makeup video is in collaboration with a Delhi and Lucknow based makeup artist- Ishita Sood.Since the wedding season has started and everyone wants to look her best. So we guys did a small party makeup video and hope this could help you all in any way.

Everyone has their own perception regarding makeup some like to wear it and some do not. But it will be wrong to say that people who wear makeup are fake and they do it to hide their flaws. Everyone loves themselves as they are and if they don’t then they should. Earlier I never used to wear makeup but I feel that makeup makes me more confident so I love wearing it. I feel that makeup enhances your personality and make you look more presentable. Everyone do not have same kind of skin it is their very own choice that how they chose to tackle with their skin issues- with or without makeup. But if you are like wearing makeup then make sure you don’t make it look unnatural. Doing makeup correctly is the first thing that everyone needs to know.

FIRST STEP- Moisturize and Prime

We used MAC fix plus 'prep+prime' spray. This works excellent for hydration and priming the skin. Besides this much known fact that primer only helps your makeup to stay on for long there are many other unknown facts that why it is essential to put on primer before you put on rest of your makeup. It helps in reducing redness of your skin (if you have such problem with your skin) and it also helps in concealing spots on your skin to some extent. It even smoothens, softens and makes your skin feel makeup ready. Primer also avoids direct contact of your skin with makeup, so protects it from acne and germ build up.

It is not necessary to make primer part of your every day makeup but yes when you want your makeup to last all day then you should definitely go for primer first.

 SECOND STEP- Eye Makeup

We finish the eye makeup first so that any shadow fallout does not mix with our foundation. For the eye makeup, create eye contours and crease using a matte brown eye shadow. Here we used MAC eye shadow in the shade embark.

Take a soft lid color like gold and finally a darker color like black or dark brown on the outer v of the eye to give definition and shape. Choose colors for your eye makeup according to your outfit color.

Next fill kohl in the water line

Tip: use kohl only on ¾ th waterline to make eye appear bigger and more open.

THIRD STEP: eyebrow shape and fill.

   

Highlight the brow bone using any highlighter. Here we used MAC soft and gentle. Eyebrow filling is one of the most important parts of your makeup for everyday. I used to hear a lot that girls “keep your brows on point” always but never knew why it is so. Then I consulted Ishita and she made me understand that how an eyebrow helps in structuring your face. I seriously feel the drastic changes whenever I get my eyebrows filled and shaped. I have never got my eyebrows threaded so it is always important for me to get my eyebrows on point before I step out from my home.

You need to keep few things in mind when you are doing your brow.

FOURTH STEP: Put on false lashes

It is not that easy to put on a fake eyelash you need to practise it beforehand.

Take an eyelash, measure it with your original eye lid length and the cut to fit. Further apply eyelash glue on the eye lash band and then very carefully put it on. You can use your hands and tweezers as well but be very careful while using tweezers. Wait till the adhesive dries and by the time you can get your base done.

NOTE:

As I am wearing fake lashes so we will apply eye liner when the adhesive dries.

If you don’t want to wear fake lashes you can use mascara to enhance your eye lashes but don’t forget to curl your lashes using an eye lash curler. After you curl them you can put on mascara and then eyeliner and you are done with your eye makeup.

FIFTH STEP: Foundation, Contouring and Highlighting

Mix your foundation with a pea size amount of moisturiser and apply with a flat brush. This brush helps in giving full coverage and moisturizer mixing helps to avoid cakiness in the makeup. We used MAC studio fix foundation in the shade nc44. Contour and highlight you features accordingly. We used a lighter and darker shade of dermacolor concealers from krylon.

Foundation is not to make you look fairer then your natural tone so always make sure you choose a foundation shade closer to you natural skin tone. Foundation is used to make your skin look flawless and to give an even tone to your skin. So please make sure you don’t pick up a shade which doesn’t matches your skin tone it looks totally unnatural and pathetic. So please make sure you are wearing a correct shade of foundation.

For highlighting: It is done to brighten and lighten up the center of your face so for this purpose we use a foundation of lighter shade. Places to apply: under the eyes, bridge of the nose , forehead and chin. Blend it using a sponge or buffing brush.

For contouring: It is done for sculpting your face so for this purpose we use a foundation of darker shade. Places to apply: temples, forehead, jaw line, sides of the nose and under the cheekbones. Blend it using sponge or buffing brush.

LAST STEP: Apply blush, Highlighter and Lipstick.

For blush we have used MAC mineralize finish blush. Put on highlighter and then apply lipstick as done in video.

You can use a Makeup fixing spray when you are done with your makeup as it gives a glowy effect to skin and reduces any powdery feel to skin texture.

BRUSHES USED: She has used Real techniques core collection set.

1. Vega flat foundation brush: for application of foundation, highlighting and contouring.

2. BUFFING BRUSH: used for blending foundation, highlighting and contouring lines.

3. Round small brush for blending eye shadow.

4. Small brush for eyebrow filling

5. Tapered round brush for blush application

6. Pointed brush for concealing

7. Vega eye liner brush and sigma flat kabuki contouring brush for application of highlighter.

Hello everyone!!!!! I was planning for this post for so long and finally it’s the perfect time to come up with this whole idea of ‘Pant Style Saree’. Wedding season has already begun and we have to attend so many parties back to back. It is really difficult for us to decide what to wear for every occasion and stand out from others. If it is a family function then you can’t even repeat your outfits. Finally we fall short of options. So for this purpose I have planned two posts in which I will tell you guys how you can repeat and recreate your outfits especially for wedding seasons.

This is the very first post on ‘pant style saree’. I suppose saree is loved by every women and it is at top priority when it comes to ethnic wears. For over a year or even more I have noticed that saree has been reintroduced as a whole new outfit with all new concepts of draping them. I picked one such style of ‘pant style saree’.  For this I used a net saree because being a blogger I need to experiment a lot with my style and bring something unique in front of you guys. For this post I researched a bit and came across many celebrities and bloggers donning this look in either georgette or chiffon saree. So I have created this look using a net saree which I designed myself.

This saree always reminds me of my graduation farewell that never happened (I actually designed it for my farewell. Lol!! ).Coming to the designing part it is quite a simple saree I just got a white net dyed in this red color and used two laces at the border one in black sequin and one in golden leaf pattern. I love the black, gold and red combination a lot and I used it for this saree. Since the saree was looking to simple I fixed some black motives on the pallu of saree.

I wore this saree over a black tshrt and black leggings. Since the top was all plain I wore a golden neckpiece which is somewhat like a chokhar and one of my favourite right now. At the waist I tried use one of my neckpiece as waist belt and wore big earrings in gold and black.I Completed my whole look with a pair of golden wedges.

Coming to the makeup part and my hairstyle: few of you must be knowing that I am working on a makeup video in collaboration with Ishita Sood, who is a makeup artist. You will get to know more about the makeup and hairstyle in my next post. She did a light party makeup with a hint of gold and made a side messy bun which worked really well for me. She even put those cute little golden accessories on my bun and truly speaking I never knew that I can ever have a messy side hair bun with so little hair on my head. Love you lots Ishita for this makeover,especially for the hair.

HOW TO DRAPE THIS PANT STYLE SAREE:

At first you need to wear black leggings or jeggings instead of peticoat. It is actually an Indo-western style of wearing saree so you can replace you saree blouse with a crop top or any simple top that goes with your saree. Before drapping saree make sure you are wearing your heels and then take your saree ,make plates like you do for your classic style, secure the plates with a pin and tuck it into your jegging/legging. Keep the pallu as you like it- free or pleated.

Hey guys hope everyone is doing well. All of you know that festive season has begun and we all are going crazy about” what to wear ??” and want to look our best. We look for new trends and unique ideas to stand out .Basically in this post I am giving my idea for ”what to wear on Diwlai”. It is very important to refresh your style with every season so this Diwali if you don’t want to wear ethnic then this post definitely have something interesting for you.

 I am a huge fan of vintage flare skirts (these skirts are called vintage flare skirts because they are inspired from 1950’s fashion) and always wanted to have one but was not able to decide from where to buy. But like every time my all time favourite Get Gorgeous Store in Lucknow came to my rescue. Trust me it provides high quality products and I am a huge fan of their collection. This is the one and only store in Lucknow where I can find the latest trends. It is very hard to find such clothes in Lucknow and every time you cannot rely on the online websites. When you invest so much then at one point in time, you want to touch the fabric and at least for once want to put it on for trial to check the fit and design. You are not always sure that whatever you are ordering online will look good on you.

So coming back to the two looks that I created with this vintage flare skirt .Talking about the flow I cannot tell you how good I felt after wearing this skirt (“like a Princess”). Also the material is really light and because of that it is very easy to carry it to anywhere. Talking about the prints I choose floral prints because they have been on high throughout the year and this winter we all will witness lots of floral and pastel vibes. These skirts are a easy pick for every season . In winters also they can be easily paired up with colourful cardigans and scarves. These skirts are for “Any and Every” occasion. So I am wearing them this Diwali.

Look 1: Pastels and Florals.

I choose to wear it with tan shirt which has stone works at the pocket and carried a peach clutch. I kept the top simple so that the focus remains on the skirt. As I am short heighted so I have to wear it at high waist. I tied a high bun to keep the look simple, neat and clean. I wore a red lip color for an uber feminine look. Summing up the look with some chic and edgy accessories in gold from (rings and layered chain).

Look 2: Peterpan Dress

I tried to create a dress like look with this skirt by using a peterpan neck and puffed sleeved top in green.I left my hair open and wore a pink lipcolor unlike the above the look to add some cuteness to the whole outfit. Here also i wore the same accessories – rings and three layered chain.

Coming to the accessorising part for both the looks I just added a hint of gold to my outfits which worked really well. I really loved the collection of accessories on their website-The Shoppers Adda.They have got great collection of chic accessories at reasonable cost.

For both the looks I wore the same pencil heel in peach and white.
